The Client

 

A huge UK Brand within FMCG falling under the snacks category.

 

The Role

 

The role of Research Manager will play a key part in the development of the business. You will be expected to proactively champion and challenge all aspects of brand and consumer understanding.  You will ensure that we get the most from our continuous data through managing strong relationships with our supplier agencies. You will support the brand teams through shaping insightful and cost effective ad hoc research. You will need to have a passion for food and an affinity for the types of product we make.  

 

  • 1. Help manage the production, analysis and dissemination of continuous market data, leading the relationship with key suppliers and support contractual negotiations.
  • 2. Actively promote the use of continuous market data. Prompt users of continuous data to greater insight though the provision of regular summaries of key findings and trends.
  • 3. Design, implement and manage measurement systems for KPIs and be responsible for cascading and embedding insights across the teams
  • 4. Design and advise the teams on consumer and trade research projects
  • 5. Continually seek to identify new sources of information and insight, implementing as appropriate to ensure optimum use of research spend and continuously improves its understanding of its markets, customers and consumers
  • 6. Build and manage a research library covering all commissioned and relevant published research
  • 7. Act as internal research consultant and advisor to stakeholders, supplying accurate and relevant marketing information and adding value through data driven insights, which provide the basis for all consumer marketing - including communications and NPD
  • 8. Lead positive working relationships with a portfolio of quantitative and qualitative research agencies and consultancies, managing and motivating them to deliver actionable insights on time and on budget.

 

Requirements

 

Degree educated, you will be commercially astute, possess excellent inter-personal & influencing skills & a hunger to make a big difference. Your FMCG consumer research & insight experience should include:

  • Project management
  • Consumer research approaches
  • Trade research approaches
  • Establishing collaborative working relationships

 

Rewards

 

Basic salary of up to £38,000 depending upon experience + benefits package
