Business Development Manager-Hospitality

£22,000 - £27,000 OTE
The Client
Our client is a nationally renowned sporting organisation seeking to recruit a Business Development Manager with a professional demeanour and strong South Wales networking contacts. Driving new business through the sale of corporate hospitality packages and increasing current client spend are pre-requisites of the role. The successful candidate will ideally have worked in the events or hospitality industry in a sales or business development role. Your background will benefit you as you will be able to hit the ground running, make lasting impressions and be a senior member of the team in this established organisation.
Responsibilities
- To establish contacts throughout South Wales that would be potential clients for corporate entertainment packages
- To promote the client events in a professional manner and sell to the end decision makers such as company directors/budget holders
- You will maximise sales opportunities by maximising the sales process from lead generation to closing the deal
- Via client facing appointments your negotiation skills will be paramount in securing business
- You will turn prospects into ‘accounts' and then manage these accounts for the foreseeable future for repeat business
- The position requires a confident net worker who will already have experience in generating business via networking forums
- Understand the product and familiarise yourself with all hospitality available
Experience Required
- A new business sales background preferably from within the hospitality/events market
- Experience in both face to face and telephone based sales will be paramount for this role
- Account management experience beneficial, however, new business is a must
- A proven and consistent sales professional with a loyal CV that shows stability
- Experience of selling to middle management and high level decision makers including directors and buyers
- Experience of working to targets and examples of exceeding those set
- Good IT skills, Goldmine and Excel database skills an advantage
Rewards
- This role offers a salary of £22,000 with a bonus to allow for around £27,000 plus expenses
