Client

Our client is a multi-million pound turnover business with a strong existing and rapidly growing customer base. A global consumer electronics and peripherals distributor, they are one of the fastest growing companies in their sector. Established for several years, they believe that their phenomenal growth is due to their customer-centric approach.

Role

Due to expansion, they currently require a European Sales Director to drive growth of their product sales within the European market.

Responsibilities:

  • Developing territory plans, planning target accounts, tactics and sales strategy
  • Implementing sales strategies to respond to strengths of competitors
  • Reviewing budget/forecast and informing senior management of any significant changes
  • Identifying appropriate sales opportunities early to remain ahead of competition through industry and market research
  • Monitoring profit margins ensuring the highest level of GP are achieved
  • Making regular calls to key accounts to ensure executive level presence.
  • Managing quotations and negotiation on larger prospects
  • Act as a point of escalation for any customer issues
  • Support marketing team with strategy
  • Developing and recruiting further into a high performing sales team

Requirements

  • International sales experience at Director level, ideally within consumer electronics.
  • A consistently strong track record of business planning and sales
  • Proven ability to drive growth for a technical product
  • Strong commercial and negotiation skills
  • Astute personal and business judgement
  • A European language would be a distinct advantage
  • Ability to work to legislation and company policies.
  • Flexibility to travel outside of the UK when required
