Media Sales Executive/Account Manager

 The Client

Our bluechip client are based in the fast-moving, glossy world of media. With a huge national and regional presence they offer various media solutions to the B2B and B2C market. With a portfolio of regular and ad-hoc advertisers, this is a role where your conceptual selling skills will be key. You will see the sales process through from start to finish and therefore the development of strong client relationships is vitally important.

 Responsibilities

  • You will work to monthly activity and revenue targets and strive to hit them, earning a % of revenue for your commission
  • Researching via various means, you should be creative in order to source new clients, utilising press articles, business networks and referrals to understand the local marketplace and stay ahead of your competitors
  • You will sell on the telephone but more often face-to-face offering bespoke advertising solutions to businesses, negotiating prices and agreeing contracts andSLA’s
  • You will work the business as if it’s your own, reporting progress to the Sales Manager and forecasting wins and revenue streams

Experience Required

  • Some exposure to the media business, and of the types of businesses that purchase advertising to promote their business/product
  • Experience of directly selling business to business
  • Experience of networking within a business community
  • Good general understanding of commercial issues
