Yolk HR is a professional, REC accredited, confidential specialist consultancy dedicated to Human Resources and Recruitment professionals. We source for both Generalists and specialist roles, to a range of employers from SMEs to large household names.
The Client
Our client is a successfull local manufacturing business with a low turnover seeking to recruit on a 6 month contract to cover a period of leave.
Responsibilities
- Providing HR advice and guidance across the business
- Conducting disciplinary investigation and holding meetings when required up to level final written warning
- Issuing and recording relevant disciplinary paperwork
- Assist with the handling of grievances in conjunction with the HR Manager
- Preparation and issue of weekly headcount report, daily manning reports and monthly KPI status
- Controlling and monitoring sickness absence levels including producing and analysing reports
- Conduction absence review meetings
- Assisting with the implementation of the company redundancy policy where required including calculations and paperwork
- Conducting maternity talks and issuing paperwork
- Assisting with recruitment and selection
Experience Required
- Previous experience as a generalist preferably in a unionised manufacturing environment
- Experience must include conducting disciplinary/grievance meetings, absence control and interviewing and selection
- Current knowledge of employment law
- Ideally a graduate member of the CIPD or working towards this
