We source for both Generalists and specialist roles, to a range of employers from SMEs to large household names.

The Client

Our client is a successfull local manufacturing business with a low turnover seeking to recruit on a 6 month contract to cover a period of leave.

Responsibilities

  • Providing HR advice and guidance across the business
  • Conducting disciplinary investigation and holding meetings when required up to level final written warning
  • Issuing and recording relevant disciplinary paperwork
  • Assist with the handling of grievances in conjunction with the HR Manager
  • Preparation and issue of weekly headcount report, daily manning reports and monthly KPI status
  • Controlling and monitoring sickness absence levels including producing and analysing reports
  • Conduction absence review meetings
  • Assisting with the implementation of the company redundancy policy where required including calculations and paperwork
  • Conducting maternity talks and issuing paperwork
  • Assisting with recruitment and selection

Experience Required

  • Previous experience as a generalist preferably in a unionised manufacturing environment
  • Experience must include conducting disciplinary/grievance meetings, absence control and interviewing and selection
  • Current knowledge of employment law
  • Ideally a graduate member of the CIPD or working towards this
