The Client

Our Cardiff based client is a total solutions provider and a creative media business encompassing print, publishing and electronic within their expanding product portfolio. Constantly growing and securing new clients, they now require a talented and motivated person in this key role, which will involve retail partner recruitment/management and whilst procurement expertise is fundamental, an enthusiasm and understanding of marketing is very important since the product is linked to the fast moving consumer sector. 

 

The Role

The role involves developing and maintaining the quality of the range of lifestyle offers and discounts and the corresponding management processes. My client deals with many leading UK retailers and attractions and package these products to our client base of large-scale UK employers in the private and public and sectors such as Shell International and Manchester

City Council. 

 

The candidate will require a flair and enthusiasm for business propositions and deals, working in a fast-paced team environment he or she will be expected to bring account management, market awareness and procurement competencies to the role:

 

  • To lead on the Retail Partner procurement process, ensuring robust management processes are followed.
  • To facilitate the evaluation processes (MIS) and ensure adequate and appropriate records are kept
  • Work within a small highly focused team supporting everyday administration activities
  • Manage supplier marketing processes to support our employee communication channels and


Requirements

Whilst we expect the successful candidate to grow into the role, we are looking for a person with experience in all or most of the following B2B areas:

 

  • Proven track record of delivering innovative and outcome focused services
  • Experience of project development and management relating to new and existing products
  • Negotiating and set up trading agreements
  • To be able to work on own initiative and within a team
  • Experience in the reward Employee Reward and Benefits or similar market could be an advantage
  • Communication skills including report writing and presentation
  • Negotiating to senior management level
  • Interpersonal, influencing and relationship management skills for building effective and productive working relationships at all levels, internally and externally.
  • Ability to organise own workload; to work and plan strategically to achieve targets; to work under pressure.
  • Ability to balance competing demands whilst maintaining high quality output to deadlines
  • Performance & target orientated with strong desire to grow business and personal improvement
  • Good level of IT knowledge and usage including excel and web content management

 

Rewards

Basic salary of £18,000 - £20,000pa depending on experience with scope to progress for the right candidate

Bonus of £1,000 pa inclusive based on performance
