About the Role
We are looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Reconciliation Assistant to join our finance team in Cardiff. This role is ideal for someone with strong numerical skills and a keen eye for accuracy, who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and ensuring financial records are accurate and up to date.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform daily, weekly, and monthly reconciliations of bank accounts and internal systems
  • Investigate and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner
  • Maintain accurate financial records and supporting documentation
  • Assist with month-end and year-end financial processes
  • Liaise with internal departments to resolve reconciliation queries
  • Support continuous improvement of reconciliation processes and controls

Requirements

  • Previous experience in a finance or reconciliation role preferred
  • Strong attention to detail and high level of accuracy
  • Good understanding of basic accounting principles
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and finance systems
  • Strong organisational and time management skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Desirable Skills

  • Experience with accounting software (e.g. Sage, SAP, or similar)
  • AAT qualification (or working towards)
