Yolk Recruitment is exclusively managing two new opportunities to join a long-standing engineering business going through a new growth phase following significant investment. The CNC Turner opportunity is a Programmer/Setter role. There's a broad range of machinery on site, primarily with fanuc controls and offline programming using CAD/CAM software. While programming's largely controlled by Production Engineering, everyone can make relevant changes when needed. Development's available to help people brush up skills where needed.

The Manual Grinder role is using both conventional and CNC machinery, cylindrical grinding, with simplistic CNC programming that's easy to learn and use - no prior programming/CNC experience required here.

This is what you'll be doing:

• Programme, set and operate CNC machinery to manufacture high-precision components in line with engineering drawings and required tolerances.
• Inspect components to ensure they meet drawing tolerances, to the quality required
• Support the wider production team, maintaining high standards of housekeeping and safety, and providing guidance to colleagues where required.

The experience you'll need in this role:

• An apprenticeship, or significant experience in the same role.
• Previous experience CNC Turning or Grinding
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, specifications and dimensional tolerances, with strong attention to detail.
• Experience programming at the machine / offline, using fanuc and/or CAD/CAM
