The Opportunity
Yolk Recruitment Public Sector & Not-for-Profit team has partnered with a large public sector organisation to recruit an Automation Tester to join an organisation which depends on its IT services to operate and innovate effectively.
With the organisation committed to embracing cloud technologies and creating an IT department of the future, they will invest time and effort to support you to developer your career, making this an exciting and challenging position.
They are offering a salary of around £40,00 with an employer pension contribution of 27.1% and a strong focus on learning and development opportunities. They offer predominantly remote working with just once every 6 months visit to the office. Their offices are based in Newport.
What the Automation Tester will be doing
The ideal candidate will be working on the main project for the organisation, including performance testing, API testing, and front-end testing.
- Identify and manage problems, incidents, risks, and issues
- Build automated tests to support our continuous deployment environments using the technology of choice
- Responsible for test case design and execution of manual test cases
- Contribute to the design, coding, testing, and documentation of small scale to large, complex or mission critical programs
- Implement toolkits and APIs for purposes such as integration, performance optimisation, security, and scalability
What the successful Automation Tester will bring to the team
- Previous automation testing experience
- Enterprise experience
- Excellent understanding of a mainstream automation testing framework such as
- Serenity
- Experience in web services, REST
- Experienced with modern delivery models such as Scrum and Agile
