Yolk recruitment are working with a well-established law firm, who are seeking a Commercial Litigation Paralegal to join their dynamic team. The successful candidate will assist and provide a range of legal support and administration to Partners, fee earners and other legal professionals. This is a fantastic opportunity for a Law Degree and LPC graduate looking to start their career in the industry.

What you will be doing as a Commercial Litigation Paralegal:

Under the supervision of senior fee earners, run a case load of and/ or provide assistance to the senior fee earners on litigation cases including debt recovery, general commercial litigation and fast track & multi track claims.

• Perform legal and factual research and summarise legal documents.
• Check accuracy of legal forms and documents.
• Draft and serve legal documents.
• Assist in the preparation of legal arguments, applications, declarations and motions.
• Prepare, serve and/or respond to correspondence.
• Interact directly with clients and take initial instructions.
• Proofread legal documents.
• Attend Court to provide representation on behalf of clients.
• Undertake other legal and administrative duties as required.

This is the experience you will have as a Commercial Litigation Paralegal:

• Knowledge of litigation processes and relevant legislation.
• Law Degree & LPC or equivalent.
• Strong mathematical skills.
• High proficiency in Microsoft Office packages.
• Experience of working in a litigation team and drafting legal documents.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• Good prioritising and planning skills.
• Ability to work with confidential information with discretion.
• Flexibility to work outside of normal office hours.
