This is what you’ll be doing
- Undertake compliance tasks on behalf of the firm, including conflict checking
- Work within a close-knit team of compliance professionals, including assistants and analysts, and report into your team leader
- Monitor and analyse matter risk assessments, and ensure the firm is comfortable acting in the particular circumstances
- Gain a good understanding of the SRA Code of Conduct rules
- Work with fee earners to mitigate any risks identified in risk assessments, and refer where necessary to risk
- Review and analyse CDD documents to ensure compliance with AML regulations
- Use bespoke software to review company information, research organisations and conduct verification searches
- Experience working in compliance for a law firm or professional services, in the areas of CDD/KYC is essential
- Experience of conflict checking is desirable
- Ideally you will have a legal qualification e.g. LLB/LPC or equivalent
- Excellent research and analytical skills
- Good IT skills
- Strong organisational skills, with the ability to prioritise a busy workload
- Exceptional communication skills
