Customer Insights Analyst – £450 per day – 4-month FTC – Fully Remote

We are on the lookout for a Customer Insights Analyst to work a fully remote 4-month contract with a lovely client. They are a fast-growing food subscription company, specialising ethical and eco-friendly produce. You will contribute to the product forecast, analyse customer behaviour and work alongside the CFO to develop KPI reporting.
 
Responsibilities include:

Forecasting & reporting
  • Analyse customer ordering behaviour, and apply data trends to build a forecasting model of orders and revenue which will be split by type subscription customer cohort and one off orders by cohort
  • Establish most valuable customers by reference to their reorder rate, identifying ways to reduce reorder rate
  • Work with CFO and Head of Insights to further develop KPI reporting in salesforce to continue ongoing measurement of key business KPI’s eg lifetime value (LTV) by channel at year’s 1-3, retention curves, one off conversion to subscription %
 
Acquisition & marketing:
  • Customer Lifetime value analysis by channel, setting up cohorts for channels and tests to measure continuously.
  • Carry out regression analysis for channel acquisition, including the halo effect on our organic social activity, and develop an attribution model to use for ongoing marketing activity Set short term target cost of acquisition by channel and longer term value by channel (after years 1-3)
  • Introduce processes to measure marketing campaign success
 
Retention:
  • Identify whether there are any triggers for churn and carry out propensity to churn analysis
 
Product
  • Product forecasting – develop gross margin analysis reporting from salesforce
  • Analysis of performance of new product launches
  • Develop tools to highlight opportunities for cross-product promotions based on customer purchasing behaviour
  • Assess what products drive best LTV or immediate churn.
  • Evaluate 3 for £12 performance recommending products to include which will drive AOV

Ad hoc customer analysis:
  • Comparison of customer cohort behaviour pre and post covid
  • Develop model to illustrate relationship between average order value and level of discount on orders 1-3
  • What effect are offers having on acquisition, retention and LTV
 
Skills / Experience:
  • 2-3 years’ experience in retail insights role with demonstrable experience in analysing customer behaviour, developing models to forecast customer behaviour and generating trends information
  • modelling data related to marketing – acquisition and retention
  • database segmentation
  • experience of extracting and manipulating data from underlying systems
