A UK Top 50 national law firm, are looking for a driven and commercially focused Employment Associate/ Legal Director, to join their market leading Employment team. The department not only boast an excellent reputation as a national team, but also can celebrate its many individuals who are ranked in both Chambers UK and the Legal 500.

This opportunity would see you honing your skills as a sector specialist, working with household names and becoming a core part of a collaborative and cutting-edge team.

This is a full time, permanent role based in the firm’s state-of-the-art Bristol office (currently remote with a blended approach moving forward post-COVID).

This is what you’ll be doing

• Manage your own high quality and varied caseload, of both non-contentious and contentious matters, predominately acting for respondents (please get in touch to discuss the clients the firm work with)

• Work closely with Partners and other team members, both in Bristol and across the nation

• Build excellent relationships with employers, to help them manage issues in the workplace including disciplinaries, grievances, restructuring and redundancies

• Effectively handle employment tribunal claims

• Provide complex advice and employment law support in corporate deals and contracts

• Enforcement of post-termination restrictive covenants

• Consistently deliver profitable results for both the firm and your clients, whilst always striving to remain innovative in a busy and dynamic sector

The experience you’ll bring to the team

• Qualified Solicitor, with a minimum of 4 years PQE, dealing with employment law matters

• Experience of advising large private and public sector employers

• Solid academics

• Excellent relationship building skills, with high profile clients

• Exceptional team player

• A true enthusiasm for employment law
