This is what you’ll be doing

Due to continued expansion, we have a new opportunity for an experienced Head of Strategic Sourcing to join the Supply Chain Management team at a time of significant growth and innovation.

As the Head of Strategic Sourcing, you will be accountable for defining the company Sourcing and Supplier Management Strategy; ensuring the business delivers the best possible value for money, agility and environmentally sustainable Supply Chains that enables the business to compete in chosen markets. You will perform a pivotal role in the organisation’s reinvention agenda through delivering transformational improvement in Supply Chain performance. You will lead a team to deliver best value and ensure the company has a robust Supplier Management framework that delivers Continuous Improvement of Supply Chain performance.

You will develop relationships with suppliers, ensuring a focus on sustainable relationships with them, and work with the business to ensure the right mechanisms and processes are in place. In particular, you will understand how to develop such relationships whilst ensuring compliance with the Public Contract Regulations 2015.

Your remit will cover both indirect and direct goods and services in the organisation's Emerging, Embedding and Established business units. And as our business grows you will perform a key role working with Stakeholders to help build and operate the required Supply Chains our new chosen markets require for us to successfully compete. To do this, you’ll need to be a credible influencer at all levels and be culturally astute in order to work with colleagues locally and suppliers across the globe.

This is a key leadership role with a heavy focus on driving Strategic Supply Chain excellence. Equally, you will need to be an agile thinker with exceptional Stakeholder management skills to help navigate more tactical Procurement challenges that help deliver financial and strategic result

The experience you’ll bring to the team

A significant track record of leadership and of coaching and developing a team.

Proven negotiation, commercial and contract development skills.

Evidence of delivering significant benefits from Strategic Sourcing programmes.

Substantial knowledge of and experience of working with Public Contract Regulations.

Experience of establishing and improving environmentally sustainable Supply Chains.

Implementation of SRM frameworks that have delivered significant business improvement.

Experience of building and managing Supply Chains in a growing and diversifying business.

Market knowledge across various direct and indirect categories.

Exceptional communicator with excellent stakeholder management capabilities from the factory. floor to the Boardroom

Experience of working with Executive teams and Senior Managers is required.
