HR Consultant - Part-Time (3 Days per Week)
Cardiff | Hybrid Working | £24,000-£27,000 per annum
An exciting opportunity for an experienced HR professional looking for variety, autonomy and a genuinely flexible working arrangement.
We're working with an established and growing HR consultancy that is looking to appoint an experienced HR Consultant to join its supportive team on a part-time basis.
This is an excellent opportunity for a commercially minded HR professional who enjoys working with a diverse client base, providing practical advice and managing a broad range of employee relations matters.
Working three days per week, you'll have the opportunity to make a real impact across multiple organisations while benefiting from a flexible hybrid working arrangement.
The Role
As an HR Consultant, you'll provide expert, commercially focused HR advice to a varied portfolio of clients across different sectors.
No two days will be the same. You'll be responsible for managing both routine and complex HR matters, building strong client relationships and delivering tailored solutions that reflect each organisation's individual needs and culture.
Key responsibilities will include:
Providing practical advice on UK employment law and employee relations.
Managing disciplinary, grievance and workplace investigation processes.
Advising on performance management, sickness absence and probation.
Supporting restructures, redundancies and TUPE processes.
Drafting employment contracts, settlement agreements and HR documentation.
Advising on employee on boarding and termination processes.
Managing multiple client relationships and delivering responsive, high-quality HR support.
About You
We're looking for an experienced HR professional who is confident managing a varied caseload and enjoys working in a fast-paced, client-facing environment.
You'll ideally bring:
CIPD Level 7 qualification or equivalent.
Strong working knowledge of UK employment law.
Proven experience managing complex employee relations matters.
Experience drafting employment contracts and advising on terms and conditions.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
The ability to manage competing priorities across multiple clients.
A practical, solutions-focused approach to HR.
Previous experience within an HR consultancy or outsourced HR environment would be particularly relevant, although this is not stated as an essential requirement.
You'll need to live within commuting distance of Cardiff, have access to your own vehicle and be comfortable with occasional travel to client sites across the Swansea-Bristol corridor.
