Infrastructure Engineer | Newport (Hybrid) | Up to £45,000

Yolk Recruitment are working with an expanding automotive technology organisation growing their Infrastructure function. They're currently searching for an experienced 3rd Line Infrastructure Engineer to expand their project capability.

If successful you will join an experienced team building & maintaining complex infrastructure solutions. Their infrastructure is heavily windows based with a mix of on-prem & virtually hosted solutions. To be successful you will need experience managing Windows server environments, Office 365 / Azure, Hyper-V / Vmware & Network solutions (LAN, WAN etc).

You will be taking an active role in on-going projects including server upgrades, cloud migrations & hardware roll outs as well as providing 3rd line level escalation support.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop, maintain and review company projects and programs in partnership with the Chief Technical Officer, IT & Infrastructure Manager and IT & Technical Team
• Ensure projects are delivered on schedule and meet agreed timescales, objectives, business needs and budget
• Manage and review projects at all levels with particular responsibility for IT & Infrastructure impact
• Conduct necessary IT system, software and hardware product research that feeds into the strategic development process
• Continue to develop in-depth understanding of the business and its requirements from a project integration, internal and external business systems and product development perspective
• 3rd line level support to the organisations windows based infrastructure: Windows Server, Hyper-V / Vmware, Office 365 etc.

Skills Required:

• Similar experience in a similar 3rd line level support role
• Windows server management, on-prem & hosted
• Server design & building experience
• Cloud migrations (office 365 / Azure)
• Network design & support
