Legal Secretary – Mental Health Capacity
UK – Bristol/ Plymouth – Agile working, some office some remote

Yolk is working with a UK Top 75 law firm, are looking for an enthusiastic Legal Secretary, to join their Legal 500 ranked team.

You can be based in Bristol or Plymouth; however, the firm are offering a flexible approach to home-based working and so there can be a mixture of office working and working from home, work dependant. This role sits within the Mental Capacity department, specifically the Health and Welfare team.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced legal secretary with an interest in Mental Health matters to join a specialist team.

This is what you'll be doing 


As a Legal Secretary you will be working with the smaller Health and Welfare team as well as providing secretarial assistance to the wider Mental Capacity team. You would be responsible for the following:
  • Ensuring to maximise time of solicitors by organising meetings, producing/amending documents, organising travel
  • File management
  • Compliance tasks such as Anti Money Laundering checks, Lexcel and Code of Conduct
  • Preparing bundles for court
  • Typing up clear and concise notes
  • Answering incoming calls and being the first point of contact. Managing calls and filtering to lawyers
This is what you'll bring to the Team

You will have at least 1 year of experience working as a legal secretary, or legal administrator and will be able to demonstrate the following:
  • High level of communications skills
  • Ability to deal with sensitive conversations
  • Prioritisation and organisational skills
  • Confidence in document amendments and note taking
  • Professional telephone manner
