Yolk Recruitment is proud to be supporting a leading manufacturing company based in South Wales with their search for a Maintenance Engineer to join their team on a full-time, permanent basis. Our client is a well-established and rapidly growing company that specializes in the production of high-quality products for a variety of industries. As Maintenance Engineer, you will be responsible for working with both internal and external teams to improve Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) and reduce downtime due to equipment failure. The role is 3-shift based, Monday-Friday, 6-2pm, 2-10pm, 10-6am. The ideal candidate will have at least 4 years of experience in a manufacturing environment, be multi-skilled in mechanical and electrical fields, be able to troubleshoot faults with control gear and PLC systems, be able to work independently and make decisions, have a methodical approach and common sense, and have experience operating workshop equipment and knowledge of hydraulic systems.

Key Criteria:

• At least 4 years' experience of working within a manufacturing environment.
• Multi-skilled in mechanical and electrical fields.
• Able to troubleshoot faults with control gear and PLC systems.
• Able to work independently and make decisions.
• Methodical thinker with a common sense approach.

Key Responsibilities:

• Investigate and resolve mechanical and electrical faults on plant and machinery.
• Work to planned preventative maintenance schedule.
• Complete elements of commissioning on plant and equipment.
• Ensure general building/facilities maintenance is carried out.
• Support the introduction of new machinery and products.
