Mortgage Administrator
Yolk Recruitment are excited to work with an award-winning specialist lender to find a bright and experienced mortgage administrator to join their referrals team in Cardiff.

This is what you’ll be doing
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced and friendly Mortgage Administrator to join an established and dynamic lender based in the heart of Cardiff. You will work as part of the referrals team and report directly into the head of referrals to assess and recommend interesting and unusual applications, alongside preapproving cases. You will also:
Be the first point of contact for queries and questions to the team, through emails and occasionally phone calls
Review scenarios, applications and queries to problem solve and push for lending and approval where appropriate
Support the brokers in assessing affordability through income calculations, reading land registry etc.
Think on your feet to problem solve any different or new queries and questions
Regularly liaise with various teams and key members to build relationships and ensure excellent customer service is provided at all times
Assist other team members with various administrative duties
Support in reviewing processes and operations to improve the business and its service
Ensure all databases and systems are up to date and accurate at all times
The experience you’ll bring to the team
As a driven Mortgage Administrator, you’ll need to have experience within mortgage lending and a similar role, as well as confidence in relationship building and speaking to people on all levels. You will also need:
Excellent IT skills, including knowledge of Microsoft Office and competent typing skills
CeMap qualification would be handy but isn't essential
Fantastic organisation and administrative skills, with a keen eye for detail and the ability to prioritise own workload
The drive and passion to learn within the role
The ability to adapt to fast paced situations and changes
The confidence and motivation to get stuck in and support other team members whenever possible
