Yolk Recruitment is excited to announce a new opportunity for an experienced Multi-skilled Engineer to join an Engineering Team of a well-established organisation.

The ideal candidate will possess excellent electrical fault-finding skills, with specific experience in working with inverters, control panels, and PLCs. This is a fast-paced and challenging role that requires a hands-on approach, a "can-do" attitude, and a strong commitment to contributing to the smooth running of the organisation.

As a Shift Engineer, you will be working on a 4on4off shift pattern, 4 days and 4 nights and will be responsible for completing all routine maintenance, repairing and maintaining equipment and ensuring compliance with health and safety legislation. You will be required to use your electrical fault-finding skills to troubleshoot and repair any issues that may arise with the plant and equipment, including inverters, control panels, and PLCs. Keeping accurate records of all work completed for compliance and audit purposes also part of your responsibilities.

Essential Criteria:

  • Proven track record within a fast-paced production environment
  • Proactive and can-do attitude
  • Flexibility to work 4on4off shift pattern (4 days and 4 nights)
  • Strong electrical fault-finding skills, specifically with inverters, control panels, and PLCs

Key Responsibilities:

  • Complete all routine maintenance on time and to the required standard, including checking and maintaining equipment, troubleshooting, and repairing issues, and performing preventative maintenance
  • Identify and fix any issues that arise with the plant and equipment, troubleshoot, and diagnose problems, and carry out repairs to minimise production downtime
  • Ensure that all duties are carried out in accordance with current health and safety legislation, including regular safety checks and assessments, risk assessments, and training
  • Keep accurate records of all work completed, including details of any maintenance or repairs carried out, to be used for compliance and audit purposes.

This role offers a competitive salary of circa £40,000 and an opportunity to work in a modern and contemporary production facility with long-term career prospects.
