Network Migration Engineer - £400 per day - Inside IR35 - Minimum 6 months

The Opportunity
Yolk Recruitment Public Sector & Not-for-Profit team has partnered with a large public sector organisation to recruit a Digital Delivery and Insights Manager to join their team. They are an extraordinary organisation based in Cardiff with a diverse workforce and inclusive culture.

They are looking for someone in the North Wales/Chester area to roll out their new network in the more rural locations, heavy travel will be involved.

This role is a contract position, for an initial 6 months with the potential for extension. It is inside IR35 offering a day rate of up to £400 per day.

What the Network Migration Engineer will be doing
You will be part of the ambition programme to deliver SD-WAN upgrades to all the organisation's operational sites and offices across Wales, Hereford, and Chester.

* You will be responsible for giving access to the service providers to install WAN routers in these site - very travel heavy but Van will be provided
* Remaining Health and Safety compliant throughout the project, ensuring all policies are adhered to.
* Perform simple tasks where required on site, such as kit swap out or small configuration changes as directed by senior technical analysts.
* Transport equipment to site for the service provider to install the physical network changes.

What the successful Network Migration Engineer will bring to the team

* Some technical knowledge/understanding
* Some Networking knowledge
* Ideally Cisco experience
* Ideally previous SD-WAN rollout experience
