Yolk Recruitment is pleased to be recruiting a Quality Manager for an expanding niche manufacturer based in Leicestershire.
This is a company that is on the beginning of a journey and is an exciting time to join. They invest heavily in their staff and are always developing and progressing staff with their careers.
Since January the business has increased their Quality department from 2 to 6 and will only continue to grow. Due to this growth they are looking for a Quality Manager to join the team where they will be reporting directly to the regional manager.

This is what you’ll be doing as Quality Manager

• Accountable for compliance to all relevant standards

• To ensure that ISO9001 quality standards are consistently applied across the laboratory and plant areas

• To liaise with customer services and commercial departments to ensure adherence to customer expectations

• Direct supervision and performance management of QC and Laboratory team

• Responsible for ensuring that all QC team members training validation is up to date and documented

• Ownership of laboratory continuous performance management boards, ensuring they are reviewed, updated maintained as per requirements

• Accountable for maintenance and calibration of all test and measuring equipment, for the laboratory and production areas

• Responsible for adherence, review and update of Quality Plans

• Responsible for communication to and liaison with Regional Quality Manager on all quality related topics and issues

• Responsible for liaison with raw material, paper and additives suppliers on quality related issues

• Responsible for ensuring all laboratory inspection and test risk assessments (RA) and safe systems of work (SSOW) are in place, up to date and available/communicated

• Responsible for COSHH within the laboratory; ensure that COSHH assessments exist for all materials handled

• Lead housekeeping and internal audits. Responsible for ensuring completion of assigned actions

• Support external audits in preparation and follow up actions tacking.

• Use continuous improvement principles to actively seek to improve methods, processes and techniques used to manage quality within the plant and laboratory

• Responsible for initial investigation, reporting, trend analysis and coordination of corrective actions for all relevant Customer Quality Complaints

• Ownership and control of QC and in-process test methods

• Responsible for commercial quality decisions for product that is out of specification, supported by Technical Director

The experience you’ll bring to the team as Quality Manager

• Strong science background

• Quality Management Tools expereince

• HND or Degree educated

• Similar expereince in a manufacturing environment
