A leading cloud-based expense management company are recruiting for an experienced Sales Consultant to join their small but successful team. This is a remote working opportunity where you will be working alongside the sales manager following up on inbound leads and offering a consultative approach to clients.
We are looking for someone who is based within a commutable distance to Cardiff (once a month potentially) and who is enthusiastic about a positive customer experience.
It is a B2B sales role where you will have responsibility for the full sales cycle; this would entail qualifying customers and gathering requirements, holding software demonstrations and providing a seamless customer experience through to a successful close. Your detailed knowledge of the system, coupled with a consultative approach to understanding customer needs, will ensure that you provide a tailored and first-class service.
Your Responsibilities as a Sales Consultant
Deliver tailored and in-depth software demonstrations with prospective customers. They are usually held online via video conferencing software; however occasional on-site demonstrations may be required (subject to COVID restrictions)
Engage with new customers through various channels including live chat, email and telephone
Identify prospect requirements, pain points and key business drivers by holding consultative discovery meetings
Use initiative to expand sales pipeline through other channels such as outbound prospecting and partnership opportunities
Communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels of the organisation and provide a seamless end-to-end sales cycle
Demonstrate extensive knowledge of products, expense management best practices and tax considerations
Produce custom pricing proposals for prospects and provide relevant policies, legal agreements and sales collateral
Manage customer requirements, both product and contractual, throughout the sales process
Your Skills/ Experience as a Sales Consultant
Proven B2B software sales experience and a track record of hitting sales targets
Background in cloud software or SaaS, including knowledge of GDPR and navigating questions from different stakeholders, including accounts, IT and project management
A passion for knowledge and continual learning of product and wider industry
Ability to pick up technology and software quickly
Past experience with configuring and tailoring software to reflect customer requirements
Demonstrable interpersonal and influencing skills
Excellent written and verbal fluency
Tenacity and a strong desire to succeed
