I’m currently recruiting for an experienced Sales Manager to join a leading technology-based business in Stratford Upon avon. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who’s target driven with a proven track record of sales management, to work for a business that really care about their culture

The role of the Sales Manager is the day-to-day management and coaching of a growing team, ensuring all KPI’s are achieved and the development of each employee.
Working for one of the fastest growing technology businesses with three sites in the UK, you will support with identifying new talent into the team and progressing staff members forward with their progression/ development plans.

This company offer a flexible approach to hybrid working, however we are looking for someone who is happy to be in the office several days a week to work closely with the team and immerse themselves in the culture!

 
Your responsibilities as a Sales Manager
  • Manage a team of phone-based Business Development Executives - setting clear expectations, developing skill sets via training and coaching, managing performance and providing regular reviews (121s, annual appraisals, PDPs)
  • Lead on the recruitment process for the team and ensure a comprehensive induction and training programme is in place for all new starters
  • Develop a culture of a “Customer Centric” business with all colleagues, both within the team, and the wider business
  • Work collaboratively with the commercial and marketing teams to identify new business opportunities based on customer insights and feedback on key campaigns and lead sources
  • Build strong working relationships with other key sales stakeholders to ensure cross sell lead generation is a key part of the sales process
  • Develop and manage the meeting generation process for the team from point of lead to appointment confirmation, ensuring conversion rates are maximised
  • Deliver on individual and team monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets contributing to the overall new business revenue targets
  • Provide regular updates to ensure that the sales team have adequate meetings to deliver on sales targets
  • Act as the customer escalation point, instilling a disciplined approach to responding to customer feedback and issue resolution within the Inside Sales Team

Your skills/ experience as a Sales Manager
  • Experience of building/leading high performing phone-based inside sales teams
  • Consultative approach
  • Strong communication/listening skills
  • Team management skills e.g., conducting 121s, performance management, coaching
  • Ability to inspire and motivate a team
  • Data driven approach- with strong capability to examine and manipulate data, drawing insightful conclusions
  • Ability to ‘manage up’ and influence
  • High levels of emotional intelligence
