Yolk Recruitment are working on behalf of a fast-growing procurement SaaS business who are recruiting for an experienced Sales Director. This is a brand-new role for the company, who have an established Business Development and Customer Success team to take on full responsible for revenue generation and braking into the private sector

You will be working for a family run business who have just had major investment from an international company, they offer a complex SaaS procurement solution which is currently really successful in the public sector, with their services been utilised in Central Government.

This is an ideal role for an experienced Sales Director within SaaS or a Sales Manager who is looking for a step up in their career. We are looking for someone with a people first approach, to manage coach and develop the existing team, whilst also putting a strategy together for the next few years to include revenue and headcount growth

With the head office based in Cardiff, this person will be expected to go into Cardiff on a fairly regular basis, however the role will be remote.

What are the responsibilities as a Sales Director?

  • Establish long-term strategy for revenue generation across all sales channels for existing and new clients and continually improve sales processes and operations to achieve results every quarter
  • Manage an existing team responsible for business development and customer success/ account management
  • Propose and develop new growth strategies, including widening industry sectors and international markets
  • Generate revenue plans and targets and provide regular forecasts to the Senior Management Team to ensure adequate planning of delivery resources and a smooth client on-boarding experience
  • Achieve personal sales targets by leading on strategic, high-profile bids
  • Develop sales and account management skills within the team through appropriate training, including developing the team's skills in negotiating commercials and contract terms
  • Oversee product pricing strategy to maintain a competitive edge while maximising revenue opportunity
  • Oversee the team's coordination of the Partner Channel including the Salesforce Partner relationship, delivery consulting partners and existing and new re-seller partnerships to maximise revenue from partner channels

What Skills/ Experience do I need?

For this role as an experienced Sales Director we are looking for someone with experience of:

  • Managing and building a successful team of managers/executives in business development, account management and/or marketing
  • A minimum of five years hands-on experience leading on, negotiating and closing multi-£m multi-year contracts either in the public or private sector
  • An impressive sales record in SaaS solutions with recurring revenue
  • Strong knowledge of public sector procurement procedures
  • A strong network of contacts in target markets: public sector, financial services, utilities, transport, energy and other predominantly service-based industries.
  • Experience of using Salesforce CRM to optimise sales and marketing activity

  • Basic salary of circa £120,000 depending on experience + OTE
  • Remote role - need to be In a commutable distance to Cardiff
