The role of the Sales Manager is the day-to-day management and coaching of 8 members of staff, ensuring all KPI’s are achieved and the development of each employee.
Working for one of the fastest growing business in Cardiff, you will support with identifying new talent into the team and progressing staff members forward with their progression/ development plans.
This company offer a flexible approach to hybrid working, however we are looking for someone who is happy to be in the office several days a week to work closely with the team and immerse themselves in the culture!
Your responsibilities as a Sales Manager
- Manage a team of phone-based sales executives- setting expectations, developing skill sets via training and coaching, managing performance and providing regular reviews (121s, annual appraisals, PDPs)
- Lead on the recruitment process for the team and ensure a comprehensive induction and training programme is in place for all new starters
- Hold accountability for achieving the sales revenue and volume KPIs for the team in line with budget and stretch targets
- Develop and manage the sales process for the team from point of lead to sale conversion, ensuring all campaigns are worked on time and conversion rates are maximised
- Monitor the flow of incoming new business leads and work with marketing, mobilisation and field sales teams to drive initiatives to improve lead generation
- Provide in month forecasting on a volume and value basis
- Act as the customer escalation point where required for new business sales leads/clients
Your skills/ experience as a Sales Manager
- Experience of phone-based new business sales team management
- Excellent understanding of new business sales processes, with the ability to stand back and redesign them, always striving for continuous improvement
- Team management skills e.g. conducting 121s, performance management, coaching
- Ability to incentivise and motivate a team
- Data driven approach- with strong capability to examine and manipulate data, drawing insightful conclusions
