I’m currently recruiting for an experienced Sales Team Manager to join a leading technology-based business in Cardiff. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who’s target driven with a proven track record of team management and coaching to work for a business that really care about their culture

The role of the Sales Team Manager is the day-to-day management and coaching of account executives. This will be managing existing customers and retaining them. The ideal candidate will have experience managing a sales function but also being extremely customer service lead. We are looking for someone who has experience as a manager/ team manager/ team leader or if you have had exposure to this within your role but looking for a step up we want to hear from you too!

Working for one of the fastest growing business in Cardiff, you will support with identifying new talent into the team and progressing staff members forward with their progression/ development plans.
This company offer a flexible approach to hybrid working, however we are looking for someone who is happy to be in the office several days a week to work closely with the team and immerse themselves in the culture!

 
Your responsibilities as a Sales Team Manager
  • Manage a team of phone-based Account Executives - setting expectations, developing skill sets via training and coaching, managing performance and providing regular reviews (121s, appraisals, PDPs)
  • Lead on the recruitment process for the team and ensure a comprehensive induction and training programme is in place for all new starters
  • Hold accountability for achieving the retentions revenue and volume KPIs in line with budget and stretch goals
  • Develop and manage the retentions process from point of proforma invoice creation through to membership renewal
  • Provide in-month forecasting for retentions on a volume and value basis
  • Monitor the cash flow of renewals against target by week / month to establish if the business is on / off target and identify improvement initiatives to ensure targets are achieved
  • Ensure capture of all join and close reason codes to better understand customer motivations to purchase and maximise retention
  • Deliver improvement initiatives to drive incremental volume, value, and conversion rate improvements
  • Act as the customer escalation point where required for renewals customers
 
 
Your skills/ experience as a Sales Team Manager
  • Experience of renewals processes, with the ability to stand back and redesign them, always striving for continuous improvement
  • Proven track record of handling customers
  • Competent with Microsoft Office Applications (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Team management skills e.g. conducting 121s, performance management, coaching
  • Strong process and systems thinking ability
  • Developed prioritisation and delivery skills
  • Excellent presentational skills
  • Ability to consistently work to a high-quality standard.
  • Strong capability to examine data and draw insightful conclusions
  • Ability to involve the right people at the right time
  • Ability to work to deadlines

  • OTE Circa £45,000
