Senior Business Analyst-  Hybrid working – Flexible working – up to £55000 – Cardiff – Exciting Fintech – Excellent benefits including a perks platform discounting over 30,000 brands
 
Yolk Recruitment are working with an exciting Welsh Fintech looking for a Senior Business Analyst to join our existing Cardiff-based delivery team. The team’s core responsibility is to ensure the efficient and successful onboarding of new clients.
 
To achieve this, you will engage with client contacts for project kick-off meetings and act as their key point of contact during the project phases. As part of this role you will coach clients on the most appropriate usage of their  platform for their business model and guide them through the steps required to set up their platform. You will also train end users/clients in the usage of the platform during these project phases.
 
You will run workshops with clients to establish solutions that meet their needs, while investigating and configuring complementary applications and services. As the project manager of clients’ onboarding process, you will ensure client actions and timelines are adhered to, escalate issues to the relevant stakeholders as quickly as possible to enable corrective action, and ensure delivery of key go-live requirements across functional areas of the business.
 
This role will also provide support to the sales and account management teams, using your knowledge of the platform to provide advice and guidance on solutions for prospective and existing clients. The successful candidate will also be expected to mentor and coach members of the team in standardised Business Analyst practices within an agile environment. As a key member of the delivery team, you will help to drive continual process improvements as the business scales.
 
Essential requirements
 
Experience in financial services
At least 3+ years experience as a business analyst
Experience of leading workshops with clients to understand their objectives as a business
Experience of leading virtual/physical teams with a need to influence and direct people without direct line management responsibility
Able to work well under pressure and on multiple concurrent projects
Willingness to travel to client meetings where necessary
Experience of configuring and administering enterprise IT applications
A good team player with experience of working collaboratively on projects from inception to delivery
 
Desirable requirements
  • Experience in private asset investment operations
  • Experience of dealing with financial regulations
  • 5+ years of experience as a business analyst
  • Experience within a senior business analyst role
  • Experience within a start-up/scale-up environment
  • Knowledge of Jira/Confluence
  • Experience in SQL 
  • Google suite experience
  • Experience of agile software delivery methodology and tools/skills, such as specification by example and writing acceptance criteria
