​Senior Sales Executive

Our client,  a Cardiff based  maritime  technology company and world leaders in ship inspections are looking for a senior sales executive to join the team. Whilst they have a 100 year-old history as part of the Graig Shipping Group, they have also revolutionised the industry with the introduction of the first  online  platform.  At  the  simplest level this lets anybody order a vessel survey at any port in the world, then view the results and receive a grading.

This is just the starting point though. Not only does the sheer depth and breadth of data captured create new business opportunities, they’re also able to bring innovative new solutions to market. In addition, they provide a range of other services, such as portfolio oversight and drydock management.

What you’ll be doing

An  exciting   position  for  somebody  to  step  in  and  immediately  contribute  to  a rapidly growing  Sales team. With   a global  client base and a product that is very much in-demand, there is plenty of work to bed one and therefore excellent communication and organisational skills are essential to the role. Reporting directly to the Head of Sales, the  ideal candidate would  bring  with  the man enthusiastic attitude,using  their wealth of knowledge and experience to help develop and improve internal processes to help with the Companies continued growth.

  • Ensure in bound enquiries are handled promptly and efficiently, identifying opportunities for up-selling and cross-selling where appropriate.

  • Directly generate sales and meeting (and exceeding) personal and company’s sales targets.

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with allocated accounts to ensure the business continues to meet the expectations of its customer base.

  • Maintain accurate records and details of all allocated customer account activity through the company’s CRM system.

  • Develop new leads through regular sales meetings, roadshows and sales’ calls with prospective customers ,as directed from time to time.

What you’ll bring to the table

  • As already mentioned, top-notch written & verbal communication skills are absolutely essential to the role.

  • Experience in a high volume, low value ‘transactional’ environment, handling multiple enquiries with a short sales pipeline at anyone time.

  • An  affable  personality  used  to  dealing  with both internal  &external  stakeholders.

  • Flexibility and willingness to go‘above and beyond ’in a 24-hour industry.

  • Experience with  Hubspot CRM is desirable.

  • Degree level education preferred.

 What you’ll get in return

  • £28,000 basic salary

  • OTE £40,000

  • Home working currently

  • Private healthcare and other company benefits.

  • Cardiff Bay office

  • 35 hour working week
