Newport/ Remote.

The Opportunity

Due to the success of the team, Yolk Recruitment are working with a international firm to hire a Supervisor within their Claims Handling team, on a permanent basis. The team has a progressive approach and are market leaders in the insurance, health and real estate industries.

This is an excellent role if you are an Claims Handler with credit hire experience, and are looking for a challenging and fulfilling career in a international firm. This role is based in Newport with a flexible working pattern, giving you the perfect work/life balance.

This is what you will be doing:

As a Supervisor you will be ensuring files are run pro-actively to meet the need of the clients and the commercial of the firm as well as ensuring that Claims Handlers work effectively.

The work will include:
Applying appropriate technical expertise and case law
Billing and appropriate write off of WIP and chasing of outstanding debt
Ensuring provision of MI is timely and through analysing and acting on MI error reports and feedback from the Team Manager
Adherence to internal and client SLAs and KPIs
Ensuring supervision of incoming post
Training and compliance
Identifying any client complaint, emerging risk or compliance issues are addressed and escalated to the Team Manager
Carrying out performance reviews, progress against objective, behaviours compliance, development and career progression opportunities
Conduct return to works and manage absences
Inductions
Supporting the Team Manager with recruitment and interviewing

The experience you will bring to the team:

The role of a Supervisor in the Motor Claims team requires Credit Hire experience as well as:
Previous team management or mentoring experience (desirable but not essential)
Technical ability to supervise
A high level of personal compliance and company procedures
Evidence of effective people management skills including the ability to motivate, coach and mentor team members
Organised and meet strict deadlines
Effective communication and leaderships skills

You will also be able to be initiative-taking, and able to work autonomously as well as part of a team.
