Are you looking to break into the Data Engineering Sector?
Yolk Recruitment are recruiting for a Support Data Engineer with one of our large Financial Clients with a track record of excellent worker stratification and advancement opportunities.
This is an exciting opportunity to break into the Data Engineering sector and learning some of the most in demand skills such as Snowflake and RED.
The role will support the internal team of Data Engineers solving issues and queries that arrive from their pipelines, all the while training and learning in demand skills.
This role may occasional need one day a month maximum in their state-of-the-art offices in Cardiff, all hotel costs will be paid on the occasions this is needed.
Reason for the role:
Expansion of the team.
Responsibilities:
- Monitoring of the productionised data solutions for the internal data engineering team
- Contribute to the support functions workload using appropriate data tools
- Contribute to the support documentation and its advancement
- Use modern Extra Transform and Load techniques and tools to implement data solutions
- Knowledge of SQL would be an advantage, training will be provided to advance your skills
- Has some knowledge around the domains of data engineering such as ETL/ELT, meta data, data integration and data streaming
- Awareness of data warehousing and a passion to learning the sector
- Client / stakeholder facing experience would be advantageous
- Knowledge Power shell
- Knowledge Snowflake or WhereScape RED
- Experience in an IT Support Function
