Yolk Recruitment are recruiting for a data architect to work with a world leading aerospace and defence company working on next generation technology. This is an exciting opportunity for a Data Architect to join our team to lead the development of our policies, procedures and models regarding data management and safeguards. You will encourage improvements in data maturity, promoting good data management by ensuring that teams and relevant individuals are aware of the benefits.

Responsibility:

• Establish best practices for data management and governance across the organisation
• Oversee the selection and implementation of data management tools including data classification
• Consider and adopt relevant data management frameworks to be used
• Assess perimeter enforcement of data protection and replication of data across multiple environments (internal and external)
• Review Identity and Access Management process and make recommendations of improvement
• Foster data maturity and drive improvements
• Ensure data management approaches are consistent but appropriate across multiple networks and applications
• Develop processes and procedures regarding data management
• Consider operational requirements and costs

Core Skills:

• Proven work experience as a Data Architect or similar role
• Positive attitude and a strong commitment to delivering quality work
• Strong analytical problem-solving skills
• Established skills in data modelling/visualisation tools
• Knowledge of complex, multi-domain, multi-network environments

Desirable Skills:

• Familiarity with the Defence industry
• Relevant certifications in data management
