Yolk Recruitment is partnered with a well established and rapidly growing medical device business in the recruitment of a Design Assurance Engineer at their state of the art UK HQ.

You'll be a part of a multi-disciplinary product development team, supporting the process by ensuring that designs and test activities follow established processes and procedures with consideration for risk management.

This is what you will be doing as Design Assurance Engineer

• Lead Risk Management activities, ensuring risk control measures are recorded and managed.
• To liaise with other departments and sites in order to provide a rapid and thorough response to engineering issues
• Ensure adequacy of verification and validation testing in line with established procedures.
• Ensure projects are completed according to the required documentation, applicable SOP's, and Design and Development Plan.
• Read and review project documentation for comprehension, thoroughness, and completeness.
• Ensure that characteristics critical to quality and inspection characteristics are included on drawings/specifications.
• To liaise with other departments and sites in order to ensure a smooth and rapid transition of new products from design to manufacture/test

This is the experience you will bring

• Qualified to degree level or equivalent in a relevant engineer discipline
• Experience in a regulated industry: medical, aerospace/aviation, defence, automotive
• Experience managing multiple projects
• Experience in a product design environment
