In House Legal Counsel

The Opportunity
To work in house for a highly reputable organisation dealing with legal work ranging from commercial contacts to GDPR and a range of other complex legal matters. You will work on your own autonomy, reporting to the Head of Legal and the Senior Management board weekly. This organisation takes a modern approach, where they work in a busy yet relaxed environment where a fun and dynamic culture is encouraged.

This is what you’ll be doing
• Sitting on the senior management team and reporting on legal and compliance (GDPR)
• Liaising with other stakeholders in the business
• Act as the first point of contact for all legal matters
• Advising and negotiating on commercial contracts
• Establish and manage supplier relationships
• Dealing with GDPR
• Advising on complex commercial issues


The experience you’ll bring to the team
• A qualified Lawyer / Solicitor
• Between 1 and 5 years post qualification experience as a guide
• Commercial contract law experience (Advising, drafting and negotiating) is essential
• Excellent academics
• Excellent Client care skills are essential
• Calm and confident manner to handle potentially challenging matters and reporting these to the senior board
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• The ability to work under pressure and to deadlines
