Yolk recruitment are recruiting for an Infrastructure Engineer (elastic) to work with a cutting-edge defence technology client.

This is an exciting opportunity to work on a top priority project that will have a significant impact on the security of our nation.

Responsibilities:

• Examine, triage & action incidents & stories ensuring they are dealt with efficiently and promptly.
• Monitor and maintain system health to ensure the highest level of service is always maintained.
• Be a central point for Elastic related problems, issues, changes and queries.
• Work on a mixture of BAU and project activities
• Work in a disciplined and structured manner in accordance with ITIL based service management processes.

Core Skills:

• Understanding of Elastic products including ECE
• Understanding of virtualisation technologies including containerisation
• Understanding of IaC
• Understanding of scripting and automation
• Understanding of digital certificates, authentication principles and how certificate authorities work
• Understanding of computer networks, routing, firewalls & proxies
• Understanding of Linux OS's
• The role requires an active enhanced DV Clearance.

Desirable Skills:

• VMware vSphere
• Ansible/bash scripting
• Elastic Certified Engineer qualification
