Network Engineer - €50 per hour - Utrecht Papendorp - 6 months (extension likely) - one stage interview - Sector: Technology / Telecommunication

As a network engineer, you will be responsible for overseeing the operational aspects of the network, Wi-Fi and telecommunications infrastructure of clients Netherlands operations. You will implement and manage solutions for network monitoring, design and configuration changes, and drive troubleshooting. You will be actively involved in projects and work closely with the Network Architect and international colleagues to ensure that the network and communications infrastructure meets business requirements.

Responsibilities:

• Network Operations - overseeing and managing operational tasks performed by the Network Operations Team
• Monitoring - analyze network traffic, reporting, logging, usage, and trends
• Coordinate and direct changes - create and maintain runbooks and procedures
• Continuous improvement - advising and executing continuous development and improvements
• Supplier, contract and partner management - be the SPOC for our external partners and international colleagues
• Participate - in projects both networks, IT and security
• Procedures - responsible for technical documentation, procedures and work instructions
• Hands-on - on-site support and assistance during server room work

Experience required:

• HBO or equivalent level and demonstrable skills in network engineering role, preferably in an international environment
• Broad knowledge of network, Wi-Fi, lines, techniques and protocols; CCNA Certified
• Experience with Cisco LAN and Wi-Fi and experience with Fortinet firewall products
• Experience in interpreting and translating network architecture
• Preferred Experience with ServiceDesk Plus
• ITIL v3 (or 4)
• Fluent in English
