Around 70% of your time will be CAD and drawing work, and the remaining 30% involves practical engineering support, quality input and collaborating with production, sales and purchasing to solve real problems.
Key responsibilities:
- Producing engineering drawings and 3D models to support customer requirements
- Creating and managing Bills of Materials
- Liaising with customers and internal sales teams on technical queries
- Supporting production, inspection and quality teams with day-to-day engineering issues
- Attending daily quality clinics and assisting with problem solving
- Conducting design analysis and supporting improvements to existing product ranges
- Providing practical support on the shop floor when required
- Maintaining engineering data and ensuring documentation is accurate
- Supporting customer returns, failure analysis and engineering investigations
- Ensuring all work meets required safety and quality standards
This is what you'll need:
- Mechanical engineering degree or a few years' experience in a similar mechanical/technical design role
- Understanding of core mechanical engineering principles
- CAD experience
- Ability to read and produce engineering drawings
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Comfortable working with different teams and solving practical problems
And this is what you'll get:
- Competitive salary
- Early finish on Friday's
- Life assurance policy
- Pension
