Around 70% of your time will be CAD and drawing work, and the remaining 30% involves practical engineering support, quality input and collaborating with production, sales and purchasing to solve real problems.

Key responsibilities:

  • Producing engineering drawings and 3D models to support customer requirements
  • Creating and managing Bills of Materials
  • Liaising with customers and internal sales teams on technical queries
  • Supporting production, inspection and quality teams with day-to-day engineering issues
  • Attending daily quality clinics and assisting with problem solving
  • Conducting design analysis and supporting improvements to existing product ranges
  • Providing practical support on the shop floor when required
  • Maintaining engineering data and ensuring documentation is accurate
  • Supporting customer returns, failure analysis and engineering investigations
  • Ensuring all work meets required safety and quality standards

This is what you'll need:

  • Mechanical engineering degree or a few years' experience in a similar mechanical/technical design role
  • Understanding of core mechanical engineering principles
  • CAD experience
  • Ability to read and produce engineering drawings
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Comfortable working with different teams and solving practical problems

And this is what you'll get:

  • Competitive salary
  • Early finish on Friday's
  • Life assurance policy
  • Pension
