Job Overview:
Our client are seeking a highly skilled RF Systems Design Engineer to join their dynamic team on a 6-month contract basis. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in the design, development, and implementation of RF systems, with a focus on the defence and aerospace industry. Security clearance is mandatory for this position, and previous experience in the RAF will be considered a significant advantage.
Key Responsibilities:
RF Systems Design: Lead the design and development of cutting-edge RF systems for defence and aerospace applications, ensuring compliance with project specifications and industry standards.
Security Clearance Compliance: Manage and adhere to security clearance requirements, ensuring all work is conducted in a secure and confidential manner.
Testing and Validation: Conduct thorough testing and validation of RF systems, troubleshooting and resolving any issues to meet project goals and deadlines.
Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including electrical engineers, software developers, and project managers, to ensure seamless integration of RF systems into larger projects.
Documentation: Create comprehensive documentation for RF system designs, including schematics, technical specifications, and test plans.
Troubleshooting and Support: Provide technical support and troubleshooting expertise during the testing and implementation phases of RF systems.
Site Visits: Travel to various company sites as required to oversee the implementation and integration of RF systems, ensuring alignment with project objectives.
Compliance and Standards: Stay abreast of industry standards, regulations, and best practices, ensuring that RF systems adhere to relevant compliance requirements.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, RF Engineering, or related field.
Proven experience in RF systems design, particularly in the defence or aerospace industry.
Security clearance is mandatory for this role.
Strong knowledge of RF test equipment and methodologies.
Familiarity with industry standards and compliance requirements.
Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
Effective communication and collaboration abilities.
RAF background is considered a bonus.
