Yolk Recruitment has a new opportunity for a Manufacturing Quality Engineer to join an international business who are leading competitors within their industry. This role reports directly to the Manufacturing Manager and you will be a key part of improving quality in the production team. What you will be doing as Manufacturing Quality Engineer: To drive and manage all quality improvement activities to achieve daily production plan. Adhere to all EHS and quality requirements and lead quality improvements and sustainability across all production areas. Coach and mentor, all levels of the Production Teams from Team Leader to Operator, to improve existing processes and drive a 'quality-mindset' and 'right-first-time' approach throughout the team. Introduce Quality KPI's that promote continuous improvement activities and hold meetings with the supervisor teams to review results and implement countermeasures to drive quality improvements both internally and for the customer. Ensure all production operators are trained / cross-trained to the required standard to improve production quality and promote a competent workforce. Provide strategic quality plans for all production areas to improve quality performance with a continuous improvement mindset. Working closely with Engineering & Manufacturing Design to promote a 'poka-yoke' (mistake-proofing or inadvertent error prevention) strategic approach to improving our current processes and new model introduction driving this approach at the Design for Manufacturing & Pre-Production stages. Minimum of 5 years' manufacturing experience in a quality or continuous improvement role Experience of working in a high-volume manufacturing environment.
