Corporate Partnership Account Manager

The opportunity
 
Yolk is working with a large trade union who exist to make a positive difference. The ability to foster strong professional relationships and encourage close collaboration between departments is at the heart of this leadership role.
 
This will be a 35-hour fixed term role until the end of April 2023.
 
What you’ll be doing as an Account Manager:
 
To work with the Corporate Relations Manager to maximise income generated via sponsorship, partnerships and advertising ensuring it is ethical, transparent, and mutually beneficial to the organisation’s membership.
  • Identify and approach potential corporate sponsors and partners with a view to building long term relationships and generating income.
  • Develop a strong understanding of the corporate sponsors and/or partner’s products, future planning, and commercial pressures.
  • Identify and work collaboratively with other members and key stakeholders to develop products and services that would be of interest to sponsors and partners.
  • Identify and approach potential partners and sponsors, meet partner companies, representing the organisation, on a regular basis to discuss and evaluate on-going activities and to build long term relationships.
  • Develop knowledge of industry regulations and governing bodies and apply these regulations in sponsorship projects and advise staff, members, and clients of their implications.
  • Work with the Corporate Relations Manager in developing appropriate systems to record and retain relevant information relating to corporate contacts.
 
What the Account Manager will bring to the team:
  • In-depth knowledge of sponsorship practices and techniques
  • Knowledge of the corporate sponsorship process, including an understanding of corporate motivation
  • Experience of managing client relationships, preferably working in sponsorship, marketing or account management environment
  • Experiencing managing budgets
  • Ability to use Microsoft packages to an intermediate level
  • Good prioritising and planning skills, in order to organise and prioritise own workload, whilst working to tight deadlines and under pressure
  • Able to demonstrates continuing professional development
