Job Description: As an Accounts Assistant, you will play a pivotal role in supporting the accounting team in various financial activities. Responsibilities include assisting with day-to-day accounting tasks, ensuring accuracy, and compliance with relevant regulations. This role presents an excellent opportunity for a motivated individual keen on advancing their career in accounting within a supportive and collaborative environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Managing purchase ledgers and processing invoices
- Recording and reconciling financial transactions
- Assisting with payroll and VAT returns
- Effectively communicating with internal and external stakeholders
- Providing administrative support to the accounting team
- Contributing to month-end and year-end processes
- Assisting with financial reporting and analysis
- Maintaining accurate and up-to-date financial records
Requirements:
- Previous experience in a similar role or relevant accounting qualification (e.g., AAT)
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Sage, Xero, QuickBooks)
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
- Good organisational and time-management skills
