Administrative Assistant (Maternity Cover)

Yolk Recruitment are excited to work with a global manufacturing company to find a bright and experienced Administrative Assistant to come and join their site in Newport. This would be on a fixed term contract basis for an expected period of 10 months.

This is what you'll be doing

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced and driven Administrator to join an established and dynamic company. You will be the first point of contact for any administration activities throughout the site, you will also:

  • Collate site KPI's on a monthly basis
  • Raising purchase requisitions and orders to facilitate procurement of goods and services
  • Managing contractor exemption forms
  • Greeting visitors who visit the site
  • Answering calls and directing as appropriate
  • Assisting with fire protocol as appropriate
  • Assisting with ad hoc projects as required
  • Collecting and reporting monthly health and safety statistics
  • Maintaining the action management system and run monthly reports


The experience you'll bring to the team

To be considered for the role you will need to have a background in administration and have experience of working in a similar environment. You will also need:

  • Fantastic organisation skills, with a keen eye for detail and the ability to prioritise own workload
  • Good IT skills
  • Proven experience of working in a busy, dynamic environment
  • Be confident liaising with and communicating with different departments
  • Be able to work in a team environment and provide administration support to departments throughout the site
