Assistant Product specialist - Cardiff - Hybrid - SaaS company - Salesforce - Annual Pay rises - £35000 plus Bonus

Yolk Recruitment are working with a prestigious Saas company who are seeking a product specialists assistant to join a growing team within the Cardiff office.

As an Assistant Product Specialist you would be working closely with the product owner to learn about the product and functions. We would love you to be an extremely process driven individual who has the technical mindset to assist in the creation and documentation that will be written for the clients and internal teams.

Ideally you will be coming from a background in government or the NHS and have some experience of using procurement software however this doesn't mean that applicants from other industries will not be considered.

Due to a high number of applications only those that live within traveling distance to cardiff will be considered for this role.

Individuals taking this role will also be supporting the Product Lead in fulfilling the following duties:

  • Define clear specification of new functions or improvements to current functions of the system
  • Work with cross-functional teams (AMs, LCs, Development, Testing) to identify new requirements, client requested changes, approve/reject changes, define priorities and communicate implementation timelines if applicable.
  • Stay up to date with changes in procurement policies and liaise with the appropriate stakeholders in implementing these changes
  • Arrange regular review of product functions to ensure it is compliant with current practices or that functions work as expected
  • Be aware of, and familiarise with, Salesforce releases including new features and functionality changes, and coordinate implementation of new Salesforce releases if required (eg. MFA)
  • Support pre-sales activities such as system demonstrations, Q&A etc.
  • Create the required documentations and send internal communications related to Product Release Timelines and Regular progress updates on major product enhancements such as API integrations (eg. DocuSign, DnB)
  • Create the required documentations and send external communications related to Product general releases (new features and improvements to current functions) and expected system or function

Ideally you will have some

  • Procurement and contract management knowledge -some understanding of procurement and contract management processes
  • Functional and Technical Competencies - aware of the business and technological context
  • Problem solving - display an ability to take a logical and analytical approach to solving problems and resolving issues. It's also good to show that you can approach problems from different angles.
  • Organisation - ability to work efficiently and productively and manage your time and workload well.
  • Writing skills - to create accurate documentation about the products and services.
  • Experience of using Salesforce
