A market leading and highly automated manufacturing business has created a new Automation Controls Engineer role to support both the development of new production equipment and ongoing improvement projects for a broad range of existing production lines.

The ideal Automation Controls Engineer will be able to write both ladder and script and will have experience with PLC programs including Beckhoff, though experience with others is also valuable. 

You’ll also play a wider role in the development of automated equipment, obtaining and creating clear specifications with suppliers and colleagues and working alongside production engineers and subcontractors to ensure the correct design, test, commissioning and installation of automated equipment.

• Strong PLC programming experience
• Strong Automation / Electrical knowledge
