Are you someone who is passionate about social media, content creation and the arts? Are you a naturally curious and creative ideas person who enjoys creating engaging copy? Are you fluent in both the English and Welsh language?

Yolk Recruitment are working on a new and exciting opportunity for an experienced Social Media Editor/Content Creator. The successful candidate will be someone who is confident in their abilities, who enjoys a varied and diverse role.


As a Social Media Editor, where’s what you’ll be doing:

  • Creating engaging and compelling copy for all social media platforms and website, in both English and Welsh.
  • Creating and delivering social media campaigns aimed at a variety of audiences and demographics.
  • Managing, developing, and testing social and content strategy.
  • Making editorial decisions to ensure that the best possible content is optimised for platform and target audience.
  • Being proactive in ensuring the right content is published at the right time. Ensuring campaign and content plans are signed off by Head of Digital and Brand.
  • Influencing and guiding content creation for other digital platforms, ensuring content is optimised for social (when required) and will perform well based on annual reporting on campaigns.
  • Increasing referrals to the website via social media channels through creating and commissioning engaging content.
  • Growing social media following and engagement through organic and paid-for content campaigns.
  • Growing Welsh-language community channels and creating bespoke content in the medium of Welsh, covering Welsh-language cultural events such as the Eisteddfod.


The skills and experience you’ll bring to the role:

  • You’ll have excellent English and Welsh communication skills, particularly written
  • You’ll be a confident decision maker with experience in a similar role
  • You’ll have a genuine interest in Arts and Culture in Wales
  • You’ll be naturally creative and enjoy creating varied content
  • Proven experience in increasing social media following within a business setting
  • Experience in running paid campaigns

  • A starting salary of £30,000 - £32,000 p/a
