Business Analyst
The Opportunity
Working with a large and established organisation in the heart of Brighton, we are currently recruiting a BA. This is a 12 month fixed term contract with the opportunity for this to turn permanent after this time. We’re looking for someone to provide business analysis expertise to help deliver organisational effectiveness, by supporting our client in all aspects of establishing and maintaining operational processes. This would include, performing process reviews, offering creative solutions to problems and defining business requirements for changes within the organisation.
What you’ll be doing
This Business Analyst roles is a traditional BA rather than tech;
- Work in partnership with business stakeholders to develop effective and efficient processes
- Evaluate existing processes and strategies, map and document business processes and identify areas of business and process improvement
- Co-ordinate enhancements and changes to existing and new systems and processes, including analysis, design, documentation, testing, end-user training and implementation for key strategy projects as well as business as usual changes
- Gather, validate and articulate business requirements for operational enhancements and projects
- Support continuous improvement across the directorate
- Support the operating model by helping to ensure it is up to date and fit for purpose
What you’ll bring to the team
The successful Business Analyst will bring the following;
- Proven experience in business analysis – process analysis, organisational design, operating model, IT systems. Demonstrable track record of designing and delivering business solutions that drive out quantifiable efficiencies or growth.
- Good understanding of project approaches/change lifecycle e.g. Agile/waterfall
- Experienced user of business process and requirements gathering tools e.g. LEAN techniques, Kaizen, BSC, Six Sigma
- Advanced knowledge and practical application of standard MS Office software applications, including Excel & Visio
- Experience of influencing decisions, negotiating priorities, identifying and mitigating risks and resolving conflicts among stakeholders
