Business Analyst - IT

As part of a period of transformation and investment in IT, this Bridgend organisation are currently seeking a Business Analyst to act as the strategic interface between various departments and IT. 

The company is investing significantly in both staff and new technology and this is a newly created role that will play a key part in the transformation and continued development of their application landscape.

What you'll be doing

You will gathering requirements, creating specifications and providing an interface through the delivery life cycle to ensure solutions provided meet the business needs

Responsibilities include: 

  • Working with key stakeholders to identify opportunities and prioritise projects
  • Investigate and assess business processes, workflows and information flows
  • Gather requirements and produce specifications
  • Evaluate potential solutions to assess potential business impacts
  • Understand the high level business strategy to help align IT systems strategy to business demand
  • Be involved in the solution implementation process ensuring accurate and timely delivery

The experience you'll bring to the team

You will have worked as a Business Analyst within an IT department or in a similar role where you have gathered requirements and provided specifications for IT solutions. 
 
You will ideally also have experience of some of following:
  • Business process modelling
  • Experience of range of delivery methodologies, (including Agile)
  • Experience of working on multiple, concurrent projects, prioritising workloads as necessary
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong influencing skills, able to talk through impacts, risks and advise on solutions to key stakeholders
  • A demonstrable commitment to continued learning and development
