I am recruiting for a Business Development Executive for a leading Bristol based media company who focus is in special content.

You will be looking after a number of clients who have used services In the past but also need to your initiative in sourcing new business opportunities and generating revenue.

Culture is really important, you will be working in a small team of 8 in the Sales team among 330 members of staff in the office. All of the sales team are incredibly hard working and supportive and work together to achieve a team revenue target.

This company have many different divisions but an interest in sport/ sporting activities will be beneficial!

What are the responsibilities as a Business Development Executive?
  • Grow revenue and market share from an existing and a new client base – using outbound calls, emails and Linkedin
  • Identify new clients & sectors to target and follow best practice to generate new business and increase market share
  • Hit and exceed monthly print and digital budgets
  • Provide pipeline reporting and forecasting for your client base to the team and wider business
  • Develop a strong understanding of competitor brands across print & online
  • Ensure the CRM system is 100% accurate & up to date at all times
  • Liaise with all internal teams on a regular basis
  • Attend trade and consumer shows where appropriate & feedback to the wider team
  • Meet and present to clients & agencies – in person or in recent times via video conferencing

What skills/ experience do I need?
  • Strong new business skills and a tenacious approach
  • Sales experience or a customer facing background looking to get into a sales role
  • Strong communication skills both internally and externally
  • Good planning and organisation skills – meeting deadlines and measuring performance against goals, evaluating results consistently
  • Ability to build long term partnerships – responding appropriately and being sensitive to customer needs and concerns
  • Excellent sales, negotiation and presentation skills as well as good attention to detail
  • Strong new business skills and a tenacious approach
  • A strong team player with a proven track record in achieving and exceeding sales targets
