We are looking for a candidate interested in joining a laboratory team in Broughton. The role will lead process improvement across all activities, promoting best practices and utlising synergies that then promote business execllence.
Responsibilities:
- Lead the development of the strategic direction of the processes/systems for the Broughton Laboratory.
- Constantly looking for new opportunities to improve the organisations reporting systems, taking a more analytical approach along with applying robust Project Management techniques during development and deployment.
- Support to and from all internal Laboratories by sharing best practices for monthly and quarterly reporting and their governance activities.
- Support and guide stakeholders with the definition and implementation of our new and improved ways of working.
- Ensure business continuity through agreed methodologies to guarantee the knowledge transfer.
- Update and maintenance of laboratory reporting systems and forecasting models ensuring accuracy and consistency of the data reported.
- Providing the strong skills needed for the Implementation of the strategic direction of the Quality management/ systems for the organisation.
- Digitalise reporting methods working with Multifunctional teams in a (transverse) international environment.
- Development of digital knowledge and competencies across the Broughton Laboratory organisation with particular focus on Google Suite to increase the efficiency of all data management processes.
- Proactive mindset with an ability to learn new technologies/digital solutions and secure their introduction into the business in order to cover the increasing demand of near-real time reporting.
- Technical expert of G Suite supporting the laboratory team with complex/advanced solutions and training opportunities.
- Experience of reporting processes and governance.
- Solid programming experience with Python
- Logical thinking, process driven and creative mindset oriented towards problem solving using the most efficient techniques and technologies
- SAP based reporting experience.
- Experience of problem solving and the ability to troubleshoot issues with a calm methodical approach.
- Willingness to independently learn and develop yourself and others to optimise and respond to business queries as they are raised.
- Good communication, interpersonal and (strong) stakeholder management skills with ability to communicate at all levels of organisation and build reliable networks.
- Ability to work independently, leading tasks as required, whilst keeping the team and the wider business updated on progress.
- English language written and oral skills.
- Project management skills and experience with knowledge of project management tools and techniques.
- Previous experience of transforming business management data reporting processes using digital technologies.
- Organisation and workload prioritisation skills to ensure that business needs are fully supported
- Laboratory experience where possible
- Programming experience and the query language SQL.
- Knowledge of JavaScript, HTML5 and VisualBasic is an asset.
- Knowledge of any Business Intelligence based solutions.
