Payroll and Pensions Specialist - Permanent - Full time - Cardiff

Yolk Recruitment have teamed up with a leading educational institution who are requiring an experienced Payroll and Pensions professional who will have line management responsibilities and have a vast knowledge of payroll practices.

What you will be doing:-

The Payroll and Pensions Specialist will be:-

  • Leading on the wide provision of payroll and pension functionality with direct responsibility for the payroll and pension teams, ensuring the institution follows all HMRC rules and regulations for PAYE and Pensions
  • Deliver creative solutions, frameworks, supportive practices and approaches, to meet changing external legislative and internal institutional demands and act as a point of expertise for specialist advice for employees, managers, members and external stakeholders
  • Regarded as a senior level of staff but also have the ability to be hands on in order to ensure that rules and compliance responsibilities are maintained.
  • Ensuring that pay and processes are delivered on time and reflect regulatory changes.

What you will bring to the role:

The ideal Payroll and Pensions Specialist will have:

  • Relevant Postgraduate qualification/Chartered membership of CIPP or equivalent experience
  • Be a seasoned line leader who has knowledge of global mobility and overseas payroll
  • Be familiar with the completion of statutory paperwork in relation to payroll and pensions.
  • Have experience within a large organisation and understand the challenges involved with a large payroll.
  • Welsh speaking is desirable.

What you will get in return:

  • £59,421 - £64,914 (depending on experience)
  • 35 hour week
  • The opportunity to work hybrid depending on the needs of the role (the minimum requirement is to be office based 1 or 2 days a week
